On April 7, Specialty RX held an enlightening seminar at The Imperia hotel featuring the nationally recognized Gail Rader, RN, C, MSN, CALA. Gail brought the packed audience of highly skilled professionals up to date on the implementation of the new and improved MDS 3.0. Lecture participants qualified for Administrator Nursing CE Credits
Gail Amor Rader is a Masters prepared, licensed and certified Gerontological Nurse Practitioner, who has extensive experience in program development, education, training, and management in the field of Gerontology. She has studied long-term care systems nationally and internationally, including extensive meetings with government officials, professional groups and within differing facilities. Along with her colleague Dr. Claire Fagin, Ms. Amor Rader received a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant to study the national impact of the Nursing Home OBRA regulations as part of her doctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania .
Ms. Amor Rader has served as an adjunct faculty member at both the University of Pennsylvania and at Seton Hall University. Through an extensive network of highly skilled gerontologists, Ms. Amor Rader is able to access specialists in any area on a per diem basis, thereby minimizing costs and maximizing service. This assures clients are always on the cutting edge of research and program development.
Ms. Amor Rader integrates her vast knowledge of gerontology into easily understood educational programs for seniors, families, and staff at a level that is customized to the group to assure easy application of concepts. Ms. Rader has served as a consultant to both the New Jersey State Department of Health and Senior Services and the New Jersey Department of Human Services. Her past experiences include development of regulations and policies, development of programs and systems to assure high quality services, assessing and establishing appropriate staff and resource utilization to affect cost savings while maintaining quality.
Ms. Amor Rader provides direct oversight of all CPI services and has an integral role in evaluating systems, serving in long-term and interim management positions, providing educational programs and training, and performing quality improvement monitoring in all areas of care and services to assure regulatory compliance.
